What is a yeknom

You start off by drawing a circle face in the middle of the page make sure the face is big

Inside the face is a round heart shape

Draw cute big eyes inside the round heart shape

Draw a small oval nose

Draw eyebrows at the top of the eyes

Draw a sideways J smile

Draw big ears behind circle face

Draw long arm underneath the circle face

Draw a banana underneath the long arms

At the top of the face draw a body with legs

Draw a tail between the legs.

Athletics

The 6th of November 2018 Puriri and Kauri team went to athletics.

Athletics was at love lock track we had to walk there.

When we arrived the first thing we did was running the first one was 800m

I was super tired after I did it I did not come a place.

After we did 100 m and I came third twice.

My favourite was High jump because it was SUPER fun.

Roll a story

In our class we have been learning how to write a narrative and what to include in our narrative. Here is the story that I wrote.

Character: A fire breathing Dragon
Setting: Inside a hidden cave
Problem: Lost his memory

As the moon sits high up the sky, Inside a misty dark cave, A colossal green scaly Dragon wonders around inside an Enormous dark cave. As the green scaly dragon sprints around the dark cave BOOM the rocks start to crack. Lots of rocks where falling right behind him an hour later he noticed he got injured really bad he did not even remember how it happen.

Dawn raids part 1 (DLO)

This term we have been learning abour dawn raids
so we did a DLO about it.

This term room 25 and other kauri classes were learning about the 1970 (Dawn Raids)
It was an awesome expirence to learn about the past

Visit from Tigilau Ness

This term Room 25 and the rest of Kauri team have been learning about the 1970's and the Dawn Raids. We have been reading the Dawn Raids novel written by Paulene (Vaeluaga) Smith.

Room 25 invited Tigilau Ness (The father of Che fu) also a character in the novel, to  come and share his expierence of the novel with us. We really enjoyed it. Something he said to us that was intresting is the he went to Prison just becouse they stand up for what the belive in and help others do the same.
